As we wrap up 2025, the team at SparksMD Family Medicine is grateful for another year of meaningful growth, innovation, and deeper connections with our patients, partners, and community. This was a year defined by expanded services, thought leadership, advanced clinical tools, employer collaboration, and family milestones — all rooted in our commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

📈 Practice Growth & Enhanced Patient Care

In 2025, we continued to welcome new patients and families into our Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, reinforcing our mission of care that is accessible, personalized, and time-rich. By preserving extended visit times, same-day or next-day scheduling, and direct physician access, we helped more patients achieve better control of their health — from chronic disease optimization to comprehensive preventive care.

🎯 New Nutrition Program

One of our most impactful additions this year was the launch of an integrated nutrition program. Designed to complement medical care and lifestyle goals, the program supports patients in achieving sustainable health improvements through individualized guidance, tracking, and ongoing physician collaboration. Early results show enhanced outcomes in metabolic health, weight management, and energy optimization — strengthening the foundation of preventive care. Learn more here!

🧪 Cutting-Edge Clinic Technology

SparksMD embraced new clinical technology in 2025 to improve diagnostics and care efficiency:

  • OtoSight Device – We added the OtoSight otoscopy system to our clinic, a powerful tool that elevates ear examinations with high-resolution imaging and enhanced diagnostic confidence. This technology helps us diagnose ear conditions more accurately and communicate findings clearly with patients in real time.

These innovations reflect our belief that technology should support — not replace — the doctor-patient relationship.

🩺 Leadership & Industry Engagement

🎤 Dr. Sparks at the 2025 DPC Summit

In July, Dr. Sparks was invited to present at the 2025 Direct Primary Care Summit, where he shared insights on building sustainable, patient-focused primary care practices and the role of DPC in transforming healthcare delivery. His sessions highlighted real-world practical points for docs looking to start DPC, benefits for patients, and strategies for practice growth — reinforcing SparksMD’s position as a thought leader in the DPC movement.

🤝 RosettaFest 2025: Panel on DPC & Employer Health Plans

In August, our team attended RosettaFest 2025 in Denver, Colorado, an annual gathering hosted by Health Rosetta that brings together employers, benefits advisors, clinicians, and innovators committed to reshaping the healthcare landscape — particularly in employer health benefits and value-based care.

At RosettaFest, Dr. Sparks participated in a panel discussion on integrating Direct Primary Care with employer health plans, examining how DPC can improve employee health outcomes, reduce costs, and align incentives between employers and providers. This conversation underscored the growing recognition of DPC as a strategic benefit design option for forward-thinking employers.

🏆 Celebrating Employer Success

We were proud to be onsite at RosettaFest to celebrate one of our employer partners receiving a prestigious Rosie Award — an honor that recognizes excellence in high-value, low-cost health plan design and reinvestment of health plan savings.

These awards highlight employers who are pioneering real change in health benefits and improving lives through innovative strategies — and being part of this celebration was a significant moment for our practice and partners.

💕 Personal Milestones

2025 was also a year of joy for the Sparks family! In February, our family grew with the arrival of our new little girl, bringing even more love and inspiration into our lives. We’re grateful for the support of our patients and community as we celebrated this special milestone.

💡 Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, SparksMD Family Medicine remains focused on growth that is intentional, patient-centered, and community-driven.

In the coming year, we plan to:

  • Continue expanding wellness-focused services, including nutrition and metabolic health support

  • Deepen partnerships with employers seeking high-value, Direct Primary Care–centered health plans

  • Thoughtfully adopt new clinical technology that enhances diagnostic accuracy and patient experience

  • Remain active in national conversations around the future of primary care and healthcare reform

Growing Our Clinical Team

To better serve our patients while preserving the access and visit time that define Direct Primary Care, we’re excited to share that SparksMD Family Medicine will be welcoming another family physician to the clinic in 2026.

This addition will allow us to expand availability while maintaining the personalized, relationship-based care our patients expect. More details coming soon — but we think you’re going to love her.

Running for a Cause

In 2025, our team made it a priority to support charitable causes through multiple running events, combining personal wellness with community impact — a commitment we plan to continue.

In 2026, that commitment grows even further. Dr. Sparks will be participating in the Dopey Challenge 2026 in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA), helping raise awareness and funds for individuals and families affected by MS.

Supporting causes like MSAA reflects our belief that healthcare extends beyond the clinic walls — into advocacy, service, and showing up for our community in meaningful ways.

If you’d like to support this effort, donations can be made here:

To amplify the impact, SparksMD Family Medicine will match all donations up to $6,000. In addition, everyone who donates will be entered into a drawing for a four-pack of tickets to an upcoming Tampa Bay Lightning or Orlando City SC game.

We’re excited to carry this momentum — in care, community, and connection — into the year ahead.

📣 Thank You

To all our patients, partners, and collaborators: thank you for trusting SparksMD Family Medicine with your health and well-being. We couldn’t do this work without you, and we can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.
